Mining and Borrow Operations
Grade A Structural Fill - Lucy Loamy Clay (LmC) - Class: Loamy, Kaolinitic, Thermic Arenic Kandiudults
The Lucy series consists of very deep, well drained, moderately permeable soils on uplands. This soil dries out as hard as the brick it looks like and will still drain well enough to plant a crop in. We also accept spoils. Loam is the best soil type for construction, due to its ideal combination of silt, sand, and clay. It combines the best qualities of all three into the ideal balance for supporting a foundation. Loam generally does not shift, expand, or shrink drastically and handles the presence of water very well.
